I met some Parrots today

It was a beautiful sunny day in Hobart and I did a short walk to see how the local Parrot population was doing. Gum trees are in blossom and there was a lot of activity in the branches. Musk Lorikeets, Eastern and Green Rosellas and Noisy Miners all chirping and squeaking at the same time.

B-52 squadron over Sandy Bay Airport

I was trying to take a photo or two of the local ducks when I noticed enormous wings far away in the sky. The seagulls were not happy with what was there. And I couldn't believe my eyes. At first I thought "Swans!", but then it was even mightier and heavier. I never heard of pelicans on Tasmania. Truly stunning they are. Pterodactyls of the present day.

lights, camera, ACTION

Two decently good shots (no.1 and no.3) in a single lunch break is quite a good score! This made me post some action in-flight photos that looked thematically linked.
