Some photos from 2018

2018 was a very busy year for me.
As usual I kept taking photos with my old camera, but until now I did not have the time to go through them and choose some to post. My initial intention was to make only one entry, but the oystercatchers stood out and demanded their own post.

This one will be just a collection of images. As always, each one has its own story, which I tend to somehow always remember, but these stories will remain untold.

The real treat comes last!

The quality is not brilliant, but those of you who take bird photos would know how precious these pictures are. To see frozen images of the 10 cm Silvereye hunting insects in the air is quite exciting for any wildlife enthusiast. And to be the one captured those frames is even more exciting and motivating. I know I can do better next time.

Silvereye

Tiny elusive little paserines - that's what I was after last weekend. I had some success, just to make me motivated to try again. Those fast moving microscopic creatures are always among the leaves and branches - hard to focus, hard to achieve correct exposure. Very challenging indeed.
