Corellas!

I had an unexpected sighting this morning - a pair of Long-billed Corellas. This is the first time I see them since I'm on Tasmania. It's always nice to spot a new species.

  1. Now that's exciting!
    What a unusual looking bird!
I found a a new one for me too this morning but I haven't been able to identify him yet. I've also been doing a bit of native flower research!
    :P)

  2. Nice! Best way of spotting Long-billed corellas in Tassie is to look for flocks of Sulpher Crested Cockies. The corellas are often mixed in with the flock.

  3. Thanks for the tip, Mosura! Actually when I saw this particular Corella on a branch at first from the distance I thought it was a white Cockie :)
