It's a Crab's Life

Thanks to a friend I had the chance to take some amazing photos today and spend a great day outdoors. The company and the drive were really enjoyable.

Below is a post made up of images from two different sequences. I rearranged them to fill in the gaps and make the photo essay more dramatic! (warning: this post contains some extreme violence.)

  2. Friend said, the bird can have the crab, he is enjoying orange juice and toasted tripple decker cheese sandwhiches. Yum.
    Sorry but you forgot to take them home.

    As for me wish I could have been there.

    A great story telling series - wonderful. I so often see events like that and wish I could capture them.

    Thanks, Mick! I wish I could get a little bit closer and the photos were a little bit sharper, but the area was open and the Pacific Gulls usually keep their distance.

    @Grace
    You would have enjoyed it, Grace. It was a great day. There weren't nearly any people around and the wind was making the birds fly slower!

    G'day Gouldiae!
    It happens too often to me too to miss interesting action or get truly bad photos. The most recent super disappointing event was this young Cormorant catching fish after fish just meters away from me without being disturbed by my presence at all. And I didn't have the camera that day. It was a chance like never before. I still feel very frustrated when I remember it.
