Fantastic! Its a great photo as is but I want to know if that log is sitting flat or standing up and if it is a log out in the bush or set up specially for a nest hole?
Hi Mick! It's a mighty living eucalypt in the bush, which muskies and rosellas find extremely attractive for nesting. Photo was taken several weeks ago. I was surprised to see them doing house maintenance as autumn was already here. This hollow was at about 3,5 - 4 m above ground and the muskies were quite curious about my activity, so they cooperated! Plus I was wearing a good camouflage cap :D

For about three years, 2007 - 2009, many of my better photos used to get published on this bloG. Due to frequent abuse of the images and a few other reasons I have decided to take a long (or indefinite) break from blogging.

All images published here are of wild-living animals photo-graphed undisturbed in their natural environment.
