Rosella in flight

This is a pretty rare image. At least in my collection. Rosellas are fast fliers and a 'frozen', in-focus shot is more or less pure luck.

  1. Jeepers! What a GREAT shot. One of the hardest things to do(besides focusing!) is getting a bird in flight.

    Thanks for the nice comment. Yes indeed, that is my reflection in the Hawks eye! He was at a rehab centre and was very docile.

  7. This photo is one of your best... Here in Florida we have a multicolored bird, the painted bunting, that resembles your Rosella a bit. Beautiful.
