Eastern Water Dragon

Well... this is one of those images that just look good. The setting, the light and the actor – everything was right. I just had to carefully get closer, squat as quietly and as slowly as possible, compose and press the button. The rest was done by Canon.

  1. Now there's something you don't see everyday!
    Another wonder from down under.

  2. Lovely composition, Nickolay.

  3. G'day Nickolay,
That's a beauty. I've always found it difficult to get close enough to our Gippsland Water Dragons to get a shot. If I manage to spot one before it sees me and disappears, there seems no way I can creep up on it. Reckon you've done well.

  4. Thanks for commenting, Mick, Laura, Dave, Denis, Gouldiae and BlackCrow!
I think I'll add this one to my selected gallery
